Configuring a Corecess router

This guide is based on configuring a Corecess 3115 router. The configuration of other routers from the same maker should be quite similar if not identical.

Step 1 - Log in to your Corecess router. The default log in should be http://10.0.0.2/ but you might get variations like http://10.0.0.??:??. Have a look at the information you have gotten by your ISP. Once logged in choose 'Virtual Server' and you should see the screen shown below:

Step 2 - Find your LAN IP.

Step 3 - We need to make 2 rules for eMule's TCP and UDP ports respectively. Below I have shown how to do it for eMule's default ports:

  • Rule #1: ID: 1, Public Port: 4662, Privat Port: 4662, Port Type: TCP, Host IP Address: LAN IP (You just found it in step 2)
  • Rule #2: ID: 2, Public Port: 4672, Privat Port: 4672, Port Type: UDP, Host IP Address: LAN IP (You just found it in step 2)

Step 4 - Save your new rules and roboot your router. You have now forwarded eMule's port in your router.
