Configuring a CNET router The following is a manual on port forwarding on this router:
The CNET ADSL router. These screen shots are probably compliant with any other CONNEXANT chipset based router (like the Samsung ADSL modem aht-e300 - once modified to be a router). When you log on into the router it is to 10.0.0.2 (or "1" at the end) and you will be prompted for a username and password (Username is "admin" and the password is "password" or "epicrouter"). You should se the following screen:
Click on "Virtual Server" to the left (under the "Configuration" section - fourth from the top). The rest is pretty straight forward. Now the screen should look like this (there are already a few entries defined):
"ID" is generated automatically when an entry is made (notice there are 7 entries so it states "8") as the ID number. "Public Port" is the port of E-mule you wish to forward. "Private Port" is the same. "Port Type" - TCP or UDP. "Host IP Address" is the IP of the machine that's running E-mule also called your LAN IP (it is advised to manually configure it rather than trusting it to the DHCP whims). Finding your LAN IP. On the bottom of the page there should be a "Submit" button. Click it once al entries are made in order to save the changes made in this page. Later, when all changes to configuration are completed (if, for example, you wish to change the DHCP settings), you should click on "Save Settings" (seventh from the top under "configuration"). On the page it takes you to you have to click on "Submit", under the title "Write settings to flash and reboot". That's it! Wait a few minutes for the router to come back up and you're done.
